Pierre Jeanneret was a master of his craft. Even in this example, there is no denying the quality of his craftsmanship. The original chair with the provenance from Chandigarh India comes in bleached teak. The back is slightly curved and just like the seat is completed with cane.Born in Switzerland, Pierre Jeanneret was an architect and furniture designer. He worked with Charlotte Perriand for many years and was also a partner of his famous cousin Le Corbusier. In 1950 the two men were the main project managers for the construction of the city of Chandigarh, India, from which the legendary pair of chairs emerged. In addition to Perriand and Corbusier, Jean Prouvé is also strongly reminiscent of the look of Jeannerets.
