Very rare octagonal Brazilian jacaranda coffee table designed by Jorge Zalszupin, one of the most famous Midcentury Brazilian architects and designers. For this masterpiece he used eight panels of wood in a smooth curve, with a continuous line of leaves creating its legs. Zalszupins furniture is known for this extremely sensual yet modern style. Manufactured by L' Atelier in 1962 which he is the co-founder of. His influence on Brazilian 60s and 70s architecture remains unmatched. Today L' Atelier's designs count as a symbol of modern times. Sergio Rodrigues and Joaquim Tenreiro are important influences.
