Two strikingly clear-shaped side tables in mahogany. Each with square top with lower median shelf. Designed by famous American Edward Wormley. Manufactured by Dunbar with paper label on the bottom. In 1931 Edward Wormley began working for the Indiana based Dunbar Company, a collaboration that made him a household name for several decades. In 1945 Wormley opens his own office in New York, staying on as a consultant to Dunbar. Some of his most famous pieces from this period are the 1946 Long John table and the simple 1948 Listen-to-Me chaise longue. The clear imprint of the time is also seen with T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings, Paul Mccobb or Estelle & Levine Laverne.
