Magnificent vases by the multi-talented Bruno Gambone from the 1980s that vary in height and width as a matching set. This set comes in a light beige, the lower section is set off by a bright border in turquoise. The special feature of these pieces is the relief on the inside of the opening. signature on the underside. Gambone began experimenting with canvas and fabrics in the 1950s and developed his signature style that reminds of Lucio Fontana. In the early 1960s he set up in New York where he frequented the likes of Rauschenberg, Nevelson, Stella, Lichtenstein and Warhol. As well as painting and sculpture, he also worked in theatre and cinema, turning to ceramics and design later in his life.
