These set of ten Grand Prix chairs are stackable, firstly presented at the spring exhibition of the Danish arts and crafts in the Kunstindustrimuseet in Copenhagen 1957. Arne Jacobsens successful furniture designs for Fritz Hansen show his strong influence of Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe and the Bauhaus design idea. He also worked in architecture, prominently building Arhus city hall together with Erik Moller. Jacobsens designs also cross paths with the designs of Hans Wegner and Finn Juhl.
