Two beautiful lounge chairs designed by Yngve Ekström. Simple and stylish Swedish furniture design in highly attractive warm oak wood. Elegantly curved backrest and a elliptical seat on tapering legs. Manufactured by AB Stolfabriks. Yngve Ekström is a Swedish furniture designer, wood carver and architect. From early childhoold on Ekström worked in a sawmill and studied drawing, painting, music and art history. The autodidact continued by founding the company Swedese with his brother Jerker, followed by an exhibition of his furniture at Nordiska Kompaniet and his breakthrough with the chair Lamino in 1956. He shares the eye for eloquent, simple form with fellow Scandinavians Carl Malmsten and Kerstin Holmquist.
