The sofa a timeless design classic of the famous Warren Platner manufactured for Knoll International. The individually welded round steel bars form a unique shape that creates a desirable moiré effect when viewed. The seating is newly upholstered with high-quality 'Dedar' fabric. The whole collection was extended by armchair, chair, stool, and table and became a great success until today. Warren Platner is today considered an icon of modern architecture and design. In his career his paths crossed with many well-known companions. Among others, he worked for the famous designer Raymond Loewy and I.M. Pei, who in return was inspired by the German architect Mies van der Rohe. From 1960 to 1965, Platner was part of Eero Saarinen's development team. During this time he also worked on his own furniture designs, which were finally produced by Knoll International.
