This Serigraph titled "Antrag auf Ratenkredit" was originally an excerpt of an application for an installment credit. It is reassembled through the deformation of the initial pattern and shows a portrait of the applicant himself. Thomas Bayrle is a German painter, graphic and video artist with a rootedness in graphic principles. An important aesthetic element of his work is the concept of seriality. Much like US-American artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein or German Sigmar Polke, he takes the pictorial subject from the realm of consumer goods.
