Thomas Bayrle

Serigraph by German artist Thomas Bayrle. "Thunderstorm in April" is from 1970. Signed in the front. Bayrle always works with a graphic basic principle. His mediums include both objects, graphic, painting and video. It is another example of the extension of graphic design into art and the other way round. He participated with important contributions in documenta several times. His working with seriality makes his Œuvre comparable to that of Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein or Sigmar Polke. Like them, he is commenting on both the world of products but also on the medium itself.
