This outstanding set of easy chairs is designed by famous Danish Poul Kjaerholm and Jorgen Hoj. Manufactured in 1952 by Thorald Madsen Snedkeri. Furniture designer Poul Kjaerholm and Jorgen Hoj are two of the most important exponents of the legendary Danish design. Both Kjaerholm and Hoj studied at the School of Applied Arts in Copenhagen and had a background in crafts. The exquisite use of light materials like linen and ash is typical for Scandinavian design and softens the classical modernisms strict functionalism, as did Arne Jacobsen, Finn Juhl and Hans Wegner.
