Piero Fornasetti

Beautiful, unusual vintage box from Fornasetti. It has an enameled metal lid with the typical Fornasetti decorative elements with seven colorful ribbons and a wooden interior compartment. The bottom is made of black felt with patina. Manufactured by Fornasetti Milano. The Italian painter, sculptor, craftsman and decorator was influenced by different eras, such as the Renaissance, Classicism and the surrealism of Italian art, creating a unique, eclectic style. Apart from his collaboration with Gio Ponti for Domus magazine covers, his work is closely linked to that of Aldo Tura.
