Elegant dining table with cork top by Paul Frankl for Johnson Furniture Company, America, around 1940, professionally reworked by our workshop. The base is made of mahogany, a very dark wood with contrasting patterns. The table comes with two wings which can be installed and gives an impressive size of 243 cm of length. Viennese Art Deco furniture Designer Frankl set out to form a decidedly American form aesthetic when arriving in the United States in 1914. His pioneering work inside biomorphic design and novel materials such as corc veneer is a unique characteristic, but US-designers Edward Wormley, Robsjohn-Gibbings and Paul McCobb share other important form qualities.
