Midcentury coffee table designed by Paul Frankl. Eloquently shaped Tabletop out of cork, comes on three wooden mahogany legs. It can be used as a coffee table or a bench. Manufactured in 1951 by Johnson Furniture. Viennese Art Deco furniture Designer Frankl set out to form a decidedly American form aesthetic when arriving in the United States in 1914. His pioneering work inside biomorphic design and novel materials such as corc veneer is a unique characteristic, but US-designers Edward Wormley, Robsjohn-Gibbings and Paul McCobb share other important form qualities.
