Rare and lovely table lamp designed by famous Paavo Tynell. The shade is in brass and decorated with perforation. The stem comes covered by cane and ends in a round brass feet. Manufactured by Taito Oy. Tynell was one of the founders of Taito firm. With prestigious projects like the lighting design for Lasipalatsi building in Helsinki and the office of the Secretary General of United Nations, Tynell was was one of Finland’s most widely used designers of light fittings for public spaces between the 1930s and 1950s. Together with Ilmari Tapiovaara, Alvar Aalto, and Lisa Johansson Pape, he is an important part of Finnish design history.
