Paavo Tynell

Incredible ceiling lamp by Finland classic Paavo Tynell. His famous careful hand in light design takes full effect in this gracious yet unobtrusive ceiling lamp in brass. Manufactured by Taito OY. Tynell contributed enormous lighting chandeliers to Helsinkis main station. The years between 1930 and 1950 had Tynell being one of Finland’s most widely used designers for public space light fittings for public spaces. His collaboration with architect Alvar Aalto is one defining influence among others, beside namable examples like Ilmari Tapiovaara and Lisa Johansson Pape.
