A wonderful example of minimalist design by Otl Aicher. It is this simplicity that makes this lamp a favorite piece. Otl Aicher was one of the most significant German designers and graphic designers of the 20th century. Together with the Swiss architect and artist Max Bill he founded the Hochschule für Gestaltung Ulm (HfG) in 1953. For the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972, he developed a system of pictograms which is still widely used internationally today.
