Ole Wanscher

Sleek, round with beautiful grain made in teak. It is in a very good original condition. Signed with paper manufacturer's label to underside. Wanscher ran an architecture studio specialized on furniture design. His designs aspired to preserve influences from e.g. English and Oriental furniture art, distuingishing him from other big Danish designer as Hans Wegner, Borge Mogensen and Yngve Ekström. His longstanding cooperation with A.J. Iversen set benchmarks in Danish design history.
