This stunning early example of Ole Wanschers work from 1948 has long legs and an interior with practical shelves and five drawers for a generous amount of storage space. The highboard comes in mahogany and stand on brass feet. Manufactured by A.J. Iversen. Together with Hans Wegner, Borge Mogensen, Finn Juhl and Arne Jacobsen Wanscher's furniture belongs to the classical Danish Modernism, while his take on it was to preserve analogies from eg. English and Oriental furniture art. It distuingishes itself through its outstanding craftsmanship and the translation from historical examples to a elaborate contemporary form language.
