Lisa Johansson-Pape was a Finnish designer, best known for her work in lighting. Her work was presented in New York’s World Fair of 1939 and the Milan Triennale, where she won an award in 1951. Another opal glass hanging lamp that Johansson-Pape designed for Iittala won gold at the 1954 Milan Triennale. Later on she started to design vases for Iittala. Her priorities were function before design, similar to her colleagues Ilmari Tapiovaara, Alvar Aalto and Paavo Tynell.
