painture on linen
h 40 / w 40 cm
Painting on linen from German graphic-designer Karl Duschek. The work is from 1982 and inspired by the Olympics. It comes in a white wooden frame. Duschek had a very close cooperation with German artist Anton Stankowski, manifested in their shared studio Stankowski+Duschek. His work is a further striking example of the crossovers of art and design, Duschek being a lifelong supporter of a clear design form language, shared also with Otl Aicher. Together with Stankowski, he was chairman of the commitee for the Visual Communication of the Munich Olympics from 1969 - 1972.
