These two Lounge Chairs from 1955, designed by French Joseph-André Motte, are timeless in shape and aesthetics. Organically shaped seat shell countered by metal legs. The chairs are outstandingly comfortable and an example of excellent manufacturing. Joseph-André Motte a French designer who shared his preference for industrial materials and experimental forms with his contemporaries Pierre Guariche, Michel Mortier, René Jean Caillette and Pierre Paulin. He contributed significantly to the modernism of the post-war period. His most famous furniture designs include the Tripod Chair and the Presidential Desk.
