Jane & Gordon Martz

This smaller example is just one of the unique pieces by Jane & Gordon Martz and comes in excellent condition. The lampshade is directly matched to the ceramic body and incorporates both colours, the base colour and the colour of the decorative lower third. Manufactured by Marshall Studios in 1954. The designer couple met while studying at the New York State College of Ceramics in at Alfred NY. They soon worked for Marshall Studios, where they produced a variety of ceramic housewares similar to Roger Capron's for 38 years.
