Isamu Noguchi

Table lamp in unusual material, fiberglass-reinforced polyvinyl designed by Isamu Noguchi. Sculptural lamp comes in very good original condition and promises a pleasant light in any room. Manufactured by Knoll International. In the 1940s and 1950s, Noguchi's best-known furniture designs were created for Herman Miller and Knoll International. Together with other Designers Isamu Noguchi significantly contributed to the development of the US post-war design. In 1945 architect George Nelson joined the firm Herman Miller as a director of design, recruiting to its rank talented designer including Noguchi, Charles and Ray Eames, Robert Propst, and textile designer Alexander Girard.
