This delicate table lamp promises a very warm, pleasant light. The unusual material, fiberglas-reinforced polyvinyl, is in a very good original condition. Manufactured by Knoll International. In the 1940s and 1950s, Noguchi's best-known furniture designs were created for Herman Miller and Knoll International. Together with other Designers Isamu Noguchi significantly contributed to the development of the US post-war design. In 1945 architect George Nelson joined the firm Herman Miller as a director of design, recruiting to its rank talented designer including Noguchi, Charles and Ray Eames, Robert Propst, and textile designer Alexander Girard.
