Ingo Maurer

Wall lamp by Ingo Maurer from 1970s. Bamboo combined with paper gives a delicate bright light. The sconce from the series 'Uchiwa' act to the wall like an art object. Manufactured by Ingo Maurer. After a training in graphic design, Maurer turned to lighting in the mid-60s, followed by a line of innovations inside the field. Among his contributions is an installation for the Issey Miyake show in 1999 and light objects for the Munich subway station Westfriedhof a year earlier.
