Gardella was one of the main protagonists of the Italian Razionalismo, Ignazio Gardella took parts in the architectural planning of many public buildings in 1930s Italy with his base in Milano, where he kept a studio. He shares the legacy of Italian Rationalism with Gio Ponti, Franco Albini and Ico Parisi.
