This lamp is a original and exceptional pieces. The first iteration of this lamp was designed by Ignazio Gardella in 1948. The Floor Lamp is adjustable in height as well as at the shade, which gives a warm and pleasant light. Its solid base is a round marble and its structure is in brass, reminding strongly of the designs of Paavo Tynell. Manufactured by Azucena. One of the main protagonists of the Italian Razionalismo, Gardella took parts in the architectural planning of many public buildings in 1930s Italy with his base in Milano, where he kept a studio. He shares the legacy of Italian Rationalism with Gio Ponti, Franco Albini and Ico Parisi.
