Herbert Hirche

Slender serving Cart in steel with original reeded glass plates is designed by German architect Herbert Hirche. Manufactured by Christian Holzäpfel KG. Bauhaus student Herbert Hirche was one of the most important post-war German designers, collaborating with Mies van der Rohe, Egon Eiermann and Hans Scharoun among others. This explains his allegiance to classical modernity throughout his working life. He became one of the central figures of the West German design scene being active inside furniture and interior design, architecture, exhibition design, university lecturing and as an association official.
