Herbert Hirche

Two eloquent lounge chairs by Herbert Hirche. The Bauhaus student was one of the most important post-war German designers, collaborating with Mies van der Rohe, Egon Eiermann and Hans Scharoun among others. This explains his allegiance to classical modernity, lasting throughout his whole working life. Experiencing his most intense productive time between the fifties and seventies of the last century, he became one of the central figures of the West German design scene, being active inside both furniture and interior design, architecture, exhibition design, university lecturing and as an association official.
