Beautiful original Papa Bear chair designed by Hans Wegner. This brilliant piece is in good condition and promises highest seating comfort. We have two more pieces in stock, also as a matching pair. Made by A.P. Stolen in 1951. Hans Wegner is one of the great Danish designers alongside Finn Juhl, Arne Jacobsen and Borge Mogensen. After completing his studies at the School of Applied Arts in Copenhagen, he worked as a draughtsman for Erik Moller's architectural office and furniture designer Arne Jacobsen before becoming a milestone in Danish mid-century design.
