Wonderful original Papa Bear chair designed by Hans Wegner. This ingenious piece comes in perfect condition with high-quality fabric. The legs and nails are also in perfect condition. Manufactured by A.P. Stolen in 1951. Next to Finn Juhl, Arne Jacobsen and Borge Mogensen, Hans Wegner is one of the great Danish designers. Aftercompleting his degree at the Arts and Crafts School in Copenhagen he worked as draftsman for the architecture office of Erik Moller and furniture designer Arne Jacobsen before becoming a milestone in Mid-century Danish design.
