Gorgeous walnut wall shelf designed by the famous Gio Ponti. The interior of the shelf is beautifully crafted and the partitions vary in shape. The shelf is also without content a beautiful object, as simple and nice. A certificate of origin is on hand. From 1930 he designed lamps and furniture for Fontana and in 1932 became head of the subsidiary FontanaArte together with Pietro Chiesa. Ponti was one of the founders of the important Milan Triennale and built the Denver Art Museum. Classics are his chair Superleggera for Cassina, his glasses and lamps for Venini or the coffee machine for La Pavoni. Together with Franco Albini and Ico Parisi, he had a decisive influence on the Italian design style of the 1950s.
