Beautiful coffee table made of walnut and embedded glass top. The inside of the table top is a gridded structure, also made of walnut, which makes the table very special. Designed by famous Gio Ponti. A certificate of origin is on hand. From 1930 he designed lamps and furniture for Fontana and in 1932 became head of the subsidiary FontanaArte together with Pietro Chiesa. Ponti was one of the founders of the important Milan Triennale and built the Denver Art Museum. Classics are his chair Superleggera for Cassina, his glasses and lamps for Venini or the coffee machine for La Pavoni. Together with Franco Albini and Ico Parisi, he had a decisive influence on the Italian design style of the 1950s.
