George Nakashima

Famous American George Nakashima designed this Sidebaord in American black walnut wood.The handles are finished with brass detail, adding a decorative touch. Graceful in its proportions, it is one of his great examples of Nakashima's woodwork. Manufactured by Widdicomb. The Architecture alumni from Massachusetts Insitute of Technology discovered his love for woodwork at a stay in Japan. He was later hired for prestigious companies such as Knoll International. Apart from the complex techniques and styles that influenced him American Studio furniture, Wharton Esherick and Sam Maloof show resemblences to his work.
