This handcrafted sideboard in walnut by George Nakashima comes with two sliding doors which conceal four drawers on one side ans two shelves on the other side. The architect, furniture maker and craftsman is considered one of the fathers of American craftsmanship. Typical of Nakashima was his combining traditional American and Japanese with modern style. Many of his designs show various influences, but one constant always remained: George Nakashima continously insisted to always work with the finest wood. American Studio furniture, Wharton Esherick and Sam Maloof show resemblences to his work.
