Gae Aulenti

This beautiful black marble table top were supported by four solid columnar legs that interlock in the corners. The so-called "Jumbo" coffee table is designed by Gar Aulenti for Knoll international. Gae Aulenti was not only an Italian architect, but just as active in industrial design and exhibition design, as well as furniture, graphics, set design, lighting and interior design. Aulenti worked regularly for international companies, including Artemide, Fiat, Knoll International, Louis Vuitton, to name a few, designing furniture, as well as being entrusted with branding and interior design projects. Mario Bellini, Joe Colombo, Ettore Sottsass are understood to be her contemporaries.
