This history-charged table was designed by German modernist Ferdinand Kramer in 1959 for Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. It has a laminated top hold by a metal base. Manufactured by Otto Kind. Ferdinand Kramer was a German modernist chosen to develop new buildings and interior design for the university until the mid-60s. Ernst May and him designed the New Frankfurt together, a comprehensive city plan for Frankfurt from 1925 to 1930. He designed many pieces for Thonet whose simple styles he favored, along with architect Adolf Loos.
