Unique sofa designed by German architect Ferdinand Kramer in 1953 for Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. Its straight lines and generous proportions convey a composed and inviting character for the upholstered sofa, thus allowing for application in diverse environments. The Sofa is newly upholstered. Ferdinand Kramer was a German modernist chosen to develop new buildings and interior design for the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main until the mid-60s. Ernst May and him designed the New Frankfurt together. He designed many pieces for Thonet whose simple styles he favored, along with architect Adolf Loos.
