History-charged library shelves from German designer Ferdinand Kramer. Manufactured by Ronninger Stahlbau. Ferdinand Kramer was a German modernist chosen to develop new buildings and interior design for the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main until the mid-60s. Ernst May and him designed the New Frankfurt together. He designed many pieces for Thonet whose simple styles he favored, along with architect Adolf Loos.
