Nicely shaped ceramic vase designed by famous Italian Ettore Sottsass. He was an architect and designer of the late 20th century. His body of designs included furniture, jewelry, glass, lighting and office machine design. Designer's signature at the bottom. Manufactured by Gallery Il Sestante. Ettore Sottsass was the founder of Ettore Sottsass Associati and the Memphis Group. He designed various objects for Olivetti, Poltronova, Alessi, Artemide and later also for Vitra. His companions included Achille Castiglioni, Alessandro Mendini and Michel De Lucchi. His works, especially his ceramics, are strongly reminiscent of those of Lucie Rie.
