The single chair by Erich Dieckmann from 1931 is made out of cane. Although the shape is curvy, the rattan chair keeps the typical clear shape of Dieckmann. Manufactured by F. Kerber, Germany. Dieckmann is one of the most important furniture designers at the Bauhaus. Strict geometric shapes with almost square or flat woods. He focused on quality and worked with woods such as ash, beech, cherry or oak. Like Marcel Breuer, he also experimented with tubular steel.
