A striking set of interlocking tables designed by Edward Wormley with ash frame and laminate tops. Consisting of one low coffee or console table and one large side table, this set can be arranged together or separately in multiple configurations. Manufactured by Dunbar. His designs at Indiana based company Dunbar started going clearly into the style of Mid-century Modern since 1944. He was given a contract there under which he would produce two lines of furniture each year, one traditional and one modern. As such, his take on on modernity was a rootedness in historical influences with strikingly inventive breaches. T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings, Paul Mccobb or Estelle & Levine Laverne come to mind when looking at Wormleys iconic pieces.
