This stunning dining table is designed by American Edward Wormley and comes with a wooden Tawi top which is composed in three leaves, so the table is extendable from 213 to 303 cm. The table clearly embodies perfection in its elegant and balanced design. Manufactured in 1962 for Dunbar. The collaboration with Dunbar made Edward Wormley a household name for several decades. He produced two lines of furniture each year there, one traditional and one modern. As such, his take on on modernity was a rootedness in historical influences with strikingly inventive breaches. In 1947 he creates the Precedent collection for the competing Drexel Furniture Company. Wormleys contributions resemble work by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings and Paul Mccobb.
