A very rare piece by the famous Edward Wormley. The base is a wooden construction and stands on metal legs. The lying surface and back cushions are elaborately and professionally upholstered by our workshop. Manufactured by Dunbar. American Edward Wormleys simple but stunning and outlasting style make this sofa exemplary of his design philosophy. He started working at Dunbar in 1931 which he came to be a household name for, lasting several decades. His work there started going clearly into the style of Mid-century Modern after 1944. T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings, Paul Mccobb or Estelle & Levine Laverne come to mind when looking at Wormleys pieces.
