Edward Wormley bench made out of solid walnut wood with single drawer also useable as a coffee table. Manufactured by Dunbar. Wormley´s designs at Indiana based company Dunbar started going clearly into the style of Mid-century Modern since 1944, a collaboration that made him a household name for several decades. He was given a contract there under which he would produce two lines of furniture each year, one traditional and one modern. As such, his take on on modernity was a rootedness in historical influences with strikingly inventive breaches. T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings, Paul Mccobb or Estelle & Levine Laverne come to mind when looking at Wormleys iconic pieces.
