Dirk Van Sliedregt

Iconic Dirk van Sliedregt Chaise Longue. In delightful wicker that notably is in a very good original condition. Manufactured by Rohe Noordwolde. Dirk van Sliedregt was a talented Dutch designer famous for his rattan creations that stand out with their simple and functional form, making clear his aesthetic attachment to designer Franco Albini. He shaped post-war design in the Netherlands significantly and produced  with the manufacturer Jonkers de Noordwolde at great length. He taught at both Enschede academy and academy of Amsterdam, where he educated students like Mart van Schijndel and interior designer Evelyne Merkx that were coming to fame later on.
