The beautifully shaped desk designed by Claude Vassal combines classic features with innovative design. It comes with four drawers with matching keys on one side and two side compartments on the other. Manufactured in France in 1955. The table is a typical example of the functionalism that Vassal is known for. Despite his love for classic and clear forms, his furniture is at the same time charactarized by its unique features like material on the edges or excavated lines. His influence on post-war france design can only be matched by important French designers like Pierre Jeanneret, Jean Prouvé or Charlotte Perriand.
