Charlotte Perriand sideboard manufactured by Steph Simon. It is reworked by certified restorers and comes from Casando, Mauritania in Africa. The corpus, drawers and grips are in mahogany veneer, the sliding doors in black and white are laminate. Charlotte Perriand is one of the most influential French designers and architects. Developing groundbreaking designs she started out working with steel, turning to her prominent rustic wooden drafts in a free form (Form libre) and arriving at a Japanese influenced style after 1940 inspired by her stay in Japan in that year. She early on met Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret with whom she would collaborate closely throughout her life, as she did with Jean Prouvé.
