RAR rocking chair designed by famous couple Charles and Ray Eames. This is an early example with beautiful parchment color fiberglass shell that goes into warm darker grey or delicate green. The original metal base with birch runners are in excellent condition. Charles Eames was a close friend of Eero Saarinen. In 1940 they receive the MoMA Organic Design in Home Furnishings price together. Another lifelong collaborator and influence was industrial designer George Nelson.
