Delightful Side Table with floral ornaments around the edge of the table. The mahogany veneer comes in good condition. The table has a drawer with inside divisions. Manufactured by Carl Löfving & Söner. Alongside Bruno Mathsson and Yngve Ekström Carl Malmsten is one of Sweden's most influential furniture designers of the post-war era. Installing his own studio in 1916 Malmsten began working as a freelance furniture and interior designer, winning first and second prizes for the furnishing of the Stockholm Stadshus already the same year. Both the amount of influence on Scandinavian design and certain aesthetic qualities are shared with Swedish peers Ekström, Kerstin Holmquist, Alf Svensson and Otto Schulz.
